Campaign #2

Lis presents Jim Beaver with the IMSFF t-shirt. Fandom Rocks California Regional Advisor, Lis, presented Jim Beaver (“Bobby”) with an Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund t-shirt signed by a multitude of fans and convention planners during the September 2008 EyeCon convention in Orlando, Florida. Fandom Rocks presented the t-shirt to Jim as thanks for his part in delivering IMSFF coins to Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on the set of Supernatural.

We would like to extend our thanks to Jim, the EyeCon staff, and all of the fans who signed the shirt. This is why our fandom rocks. Enjoy the video and pictures after the jump!

(If you are interested in serving as a Regional Advisor for Fandom Rocks, don’t be shy – contact us!)

We are very excited to share this news with everyone involved with Fandom Rocks. After the jump, there are vague spoilers regarding filming the end of Supernatural Season 3. They are very vague spoilers, but if you absolutely cannot click past the jump, we will see you after the finale to share the news. Now … onto the news!

The ink has dried on our second campaign. The donations have been delivered to the Lawrence Humane Society and the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Each charity received $1,175.00 for a Campaign #2 grand total of $2,350.00. We put together a PDF report (Fandom Rocks Report September 2007-February 2008) to document all of the campaign funding sources. If you have any questions or feel the information is incorrect, don’t hesitate to let us know.

To keep the Donate page easy to read, we are archiving the donation information for Campaign #2 here. You can find the progress meter and list of donors after the jump.

Our second campaign officially ended on March 1, 2008, and Brande and Dana tied neat little bows on the campaign when they delivered the Fandom Rocks’ donations in person to the charities. After the cut, you will find excerpts from Brande’s account of her trip to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund offices at Camp Pendleton , Dana’s account of her trip to the Lawrence Humane Society, and a brief video of the LHS facilities.

The Fandom Rocks Frontline would like to thank the fans for their continued support of the campaigns. Every email, comment, and donation from each corner of the world keeps us motivated and enforces our appreciation of our awesome fandom. (We have said you guys rock, yes?)

Stay tuned for the campaign report and Campaign #3 charities announcement!
